Reached Sarchu camp tents by 7pm. Sarchu is a long valley, a major territorial mark between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. And one of the coldest nights we had on the trip, its very windy there too.

july 10th, 2011 Day 1:15th July Friday - Flight from Chennai to Delhi  6:35am            Evening Bus from Delhi to Manali   4.40pm Day 2:16th Saturday Morning reach Manali - Get hired bikes, prep for ride, check bikes. Day 3:17th Sunday - Start riding to LEH , stop at keylong. Day 4:18th Monday - Continue ride, stay at Uphasi. Day 5:19th Tuesday - Continue ride reach Leh at 8 am. Day 6: 20th Wednesday - To Pangong tso lake and back. Day 7: 21st thursday -  Start riding back to Manali, stop at Sarchu. Day 8: 22nd Friday - Reach Manali. Day 9: 23rd Saturday - Catch bus to Delhi by evening. Day 10:24th Sunday - Flight back to Chennai. Continued to Leh from Pang. Is not tared all the way, More plains its like - silky sand, dusty, and find your own road. It is best if u follow the truck tracks. Though it looks like we are not moving we were actually going really fast the speedometer is not working. At deebring we stopped for a coffee after noon where the dhaba owner had a gypsy and the kid, he is called CHOTTU was navigating the by passers and enjoying seeing the bullets stopping at the dhabas. We got a flat tire.the truck agreed to take it all the way till Leh. which is where we find our next workshop. Waiting for a truck or a mechanic in the middle of nowhere.
