All of us back in chennai after the trip, safe and sound in one piece caught up for a dinner on Ashwins Birthday.

Mist coming in on us and the rain when least expected. Climb to Rotang Pass through the mist Ashwin and Benoit went off road for a little time. Army crane came and pulled them up on to the road.   At Sarchu for Dinner. The night sky is very clear and beautiful in Sarchu. Camp tents at Sarchu.  Camp tents near the Sarchu check post . Rs 100/bed. A dhaba near by , get aloo chapathi, roti, maggi, and you also get hot water in the morning. Petrol pump near Tandi. The last fuel station in Manali - Leh route. The next fuel station is 365km ahead. Its better to fill from Manali itself both the bike tank and the extra cans, enough fuel to reach Leh. Then you can top up the tank from here. This is where you must decide how much of fuel you will need to reach Leh.
